What is a CCTV camera?
A device that records images for personal and surveillance purposes is called a CCTV camera.

The first CCTV camera was used in 1942.

The first commercial cameras were marketed in 1949 in America under the name Vericon.

The remarkable point of this release was the lack of a government license to use CCTV cameras.

Types of CCTV cameras based on manufacturing technology
Normal analog CCTV camera
These cameras are the first generation and the most common CCTV cameras.

Analog cameras are one of the choices of home users and even small businesses due to their low price, small system and easy installation.

The analog surveillance camera system consists of one or more analog cameras, a DVR (digital image recording) device, and a coaxial cable to connect the cameras to the DVR. The images recorded in the CCTV camera are sent to the DVR in analog form for processing. Then, it is converted to digital format. Analog cameras have a lower quality than other CCTV cameras, because they are able to record images up to a maximum resolution of 960 x 582.

HD analog CCTV camera
The biggest difference between these cameras is the higher resolution of the recorded images. So that in these images, people’s faces can be recognized easily. Analog HD cameras are divided into 4 models: HD-CVI, AHD, HD-SDI and HD-TVI. All of them have the ability to support imaging with a resolution of 1920*1080. Due to the low price difference and high quality of these cameras compared to normal cameras, they are a good option for home and business users.

Network surveillance camera
These cameras are also known as IP cameras or Internet cameras.

The structure of these cameras is such that by setting the IP address on them, the images sent from the CCTV cameras can be received and viewed online through the network or the Internet.

In the network surveillance camera structure, more passive network equipment is needed compared to analog cameras. To set up these cameras, a network switch is needed to communicate between the cameras and connection systems. Also, in order to view the workplace and life online and through the Internet, like analog cameras, a modem router is needed. Replacing NVR device instead of DVR is another change of network cameras.

Network camera consists of lens, image sensor, image processor, compression chip and network chip. The light passing through the sensor is converted into a digital signal, then processed by the image processor. In the last step, this data is compressed and sent over the network.

Types of CCTV cameras based on appearance and performance

Fixed and PTZ CCTV cameras:
Fixed cameras are placed at a specific point and provide a fixed viewing angle to the user.

These cameras are suitable for monitoring a fixed location every day.

PTZ cameras are cameras that can be moved manually or automatically in the horizontal and vertical axes or zoomed in on the image.

DOME, SPEED DOME, BOX, BULLET
The advantage of the CCTV camera is the wider coverage of the environment.

Box CCTV is not able to cover all angles. To solve the problem of the viewing angle of box cameras, it is possible to change the lens and change the viewing angle.

Bolt CCTV camera is a cylindrical camera. They have a lot of variety and wide features. The advantage of this camera is its greater flexibility. It can be installed in areas such as on the ceiling and wall.

In the event that the pet camera is designed and produced with the aim of covering large spaces.
